VicinityView OData Enhancements – Expanded OData Filter Support on Dates
This enhancement expands how VicinityView OData queries handle dates, improving performance and flexibility for integrations and reporting. Users can now apply dynamic date filters directly within OData URLs, reducing data volume, speeding up refreshes, and eliminating the need for full dataset retrievals.
Use this enhancement to:
- Apply dynamic date filters such as Today, Tomorrow, Beginning/End of Week, and Beginning/End of Month
- Use relative date logic (e.g., current date ± number of days) directly in OData queries
- Filter on specific fixed dates by casting date strings within the OData URL
- Build more efficient, targeted integrations and reports that refresh frequently
Quality Sample Entry Enhancement – Refresh Button
This update adds a ‘Refresh Related QC’ button to the Quality Sample Entry screen, making it easier to view the latest data without restarting your workflow. Users no longer need to close and reopen records to view updated QC information.
Your team can now:
- Refresh open sample records without re-inquiry
- Instantly display new or modified QC data from other processes
- Save time and reduce navigation when reviewing test results
Production Control Setup – Write to General Journal Setting for BC
This new setting provides users with explicit control over whether journal entries are written to Business Central during production posting, reducing posting errors and increasing transparency.
New functionality provides the ability to:
- Enable or disable journal entry posting to BC from Production Control
- Prevent missing transactions due to incomplete WIP account setup
- Trigger errors when required accounts are missing, helping catch setup issues early
